Meet the farmers behind Yajambee Farms – Jamie, Gabe and their little helpers!

We are a young family working and living on an Angus stud on beautiful Mount Mee, Queensland.

Passionate producers of beef that is sustainable, ethical, regenerative and local, we sell 100% grass-fed Angus beef direct to your family from our farm, offering a true paddock to plate experience.

Not only is this way of eating better for you, the animal and the environment, it also allows you to lower your food kilometres and reduce your carbon footprint.

We're also looking forward to welcoming you as a guest to our stunning new luxury farm stay, which is due to be completed later this year.

How it all started

Our Story

While living on our small block of land in Closeburn, Samford, Gabe and I wanted to try and live a self sufficient life. We grew our own vegetables, ate our own animals and even milked our neighbours’ cow for milk and to make our own cheese.

As Gabe and I consumed meat from our own Angus cattle, we couldn’t help but realise how much of the animal was left after eating the most popular cuts like steaks. We also had no idea what the other cuts were, let alone how to cook them. 

This led us to ask:

  • Why didn't we see lesser-known cuts like y-bone, oyster blade and rolled rib roast in supermarkets?
  • Why would we rarely, if at all, see our families or friends cook these lesser-known cuts at BBQ's and dinners?
  • Why don’t we see these cuts of beef on a menu at a restaurant?
  • What were supermarkets doing with these lesser-known cuts of beef that the animal had to offer?

Surely, we weren’t just processing animals for their most popular and easy to cook cuts of beef?

We knew we could make a difference by consuming our own animals, and when we shared on Facebook that we had excess of our own grass-fed beef for sale, we knew it mattered to you too!

This is what inspired us to do what we are doing today. When you buy our beef, you are helping to create a sustainable future one beefy package at a time.

Yajambee Farms beef is sold as a variety pack offering a nose-to-tail experience in every beefy package.

Choose your kilos

We have a 5kg minimum and you can order however many kilos suits you and your family.

Confirm your order

You will be notified personally of the final total of your beefy-package the Friday before pick up or delivery
